ファミコン以前の任天堂のプロダクトの歴史については、「横井軍平ゲーム館」など横井軍平氏へのインタビューを収録した書籍などにも詳しく紹介されていますが、本書（特に第1巻）については祖業の花札にはじまり、トランプ、玩具、ボードゲーム、意外なところではディズニーフリッカー（ふりかけ）やキャンデーマシン、ベビーカー、収納家具、マーキングペン、複写機などなど、家庭用ゲーム機以前の任天堂のプロダクト史を、実際の商品や当時の広告、販促物などを織り交ぜながら詳細に紹介されています。２巻についてはゲーム＆ウォッチの紹介がメインです。
記事については全編フランス語となりますが、ビジュアルがふんだんに盛り込まれており、眺めるだけでも読み応えのある書籍と思います。
もともとビニールカバー付きの書籍でしたが、購入と同時に市販のビニールカバー「ミエミエ」で保護し保管してましたので、状態は良好と思います。
